When Keys Won't Fit... the Punchline

I once had a customer who brought in a key that supposedly opened his front door, but it turned out to be for a completely different lock. He joked that it’s the only key in history that could start a car, open a suitcase, and somehow still make a perfect shank for his lunch. I mean, talk about versatility in failure! Anyone else have stories of keys that just missed the mark?

I had a customer who handed me a key that looked like it was designed for a medieval castle — definitely not for a modern apartment. The irony of that key being ‘versatile’ as you said just cracks me up. Ever had someone swear by their old key, only to watch them realize it’s been useless for years?
