PoE access control in older buildings

Has anyone deployed PoE EAC on a 1990s mid-rise without pulling new home runs? I’m scoping 92 openings with Mercury-based controllers, BACnet to the BMS, SFIC mechanical fallback, and a phased rekey; looking for pitfalls on mixed-credential rollouts and any elevator/fire panel integration gotchas, especially around door power budgets per port.
