BCM heckling during a key add

In a Walmart lot at 8:40 pm, a 2018 F-150 decided to heckle me — mid parameter reset and key add on the Smart Pro, the BCM tossed “security access denied,” flicked the wipers, and cracked the windows 2 cm like a slow clap. Advanced vehicle access solutions are great until the CAN handshake gets sassy; anyone else had a simple electronic key program turn into stand-up?

Seen that ‘security access denied’ on 2018 F-150s when voltage dips — throw it on a 13.5V power supply, close all doors, let the network sleep about 2 minutes, then rerun Smart Pro; if it still gets cheeky, yank any OBD/telematics dongles and try again. Were you on a charger or is there an aftermarket remote-start in there?

I keep collection_time and receipt_time as discrete fields and let a rule fire for hs-Tn when the delta exceeds 10 min, so the report only shows collection unless flagged; the audit trail holds the rest. Also fix the root cause: get everything NTP-synced — ‘07:58 vs 08:12’ is usually clock drift, not workflow. Do you have a delta rule tied to troponin right now?
