For ‘Which path worked best for you?’: apprenticeship — have your mentor let you close out one service call solo each week; writing the ticket and keying notes taught me more about codes and liability than any class. I did add one ALOA weekend course the shop paid for to cover safes we rarely saw — are you aiming more at compliance or automotive?
